Selling a home during divorce is hard enough. The sale itself should not make it harder.
Staci Wolff, CDRE, is a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert in Honolulu who helps homeowners sell a home during divorce using a neutral, documented process with written agreements and the same updates for both parties.

The problem, plainly
A divorce sale is not a standard sale. There are court timelines next to contract deadlines, two decision-makers who may not agree, attorneys on both sides, and a home full of emotion, while the equity you both built is on the line. A standard listing process does not account for any of that. This one does.
What makes this sale different
Neutral from the start. I work for the sale, not for one spouse. Written agreements come first: who decides on price, offers, and repairs, and how ties get broken.
Same information, same time. Both parties get the same written updates at the same time. No side channels.
Two timelines, tracked together. Case deadlines and contract deadlines are managed side by side, so a court date never blindsides a closing.
Equity first. Price from comparable sales, small prep that pays, written proceeds instructions early, so closing day holds no surprises.
The process, in four steps
1. Before you list: attorney timing, written decision agreement, one communication channel, data-based valuation.
2. Protecting your equity: comp-based pricing, agreed offer criteria, proceeds instructions in writing.
3. While it is on the market: weekly written updates to both parties, communication routed through your agent.
4. At the closing table: proceeds verified against your agreement, payoffs checked a week early, signing plan known ahead.

For family law attorneys
If you have a client selling the marital home, you need a real estate partner who documents at a level that holds up and keeps both sides informed. Visit the For Attorneys page or reach me directly: (808) 208-3785, staci@staciwolff.com.
Where I work
Divorce sales across Hawai'i, with local knowledge that actually matters when pricing and timing a sale.
O'ahu: Honolulu, Kapolei, Kailua, Mililani Mauka, and the Windward side. Town condos, west side family homes, and Windward neighborhoods each price and sell differently, and a divorce sale has to be priced for its own neighborhood, not island-wide headlines.
Hawai'i Island: Hilo and Kailua-Kona. East side established neighborhoods and larger lots, west side resort-adjacent living and condos.
Kaua'i: Lihue and Kapaa. Island knowledge matters even more on a smaller island, where the buyer pool and the pace are their own.
Maui: Not directly covered. For Maui, I work through referral or a co-agent position, so you still get a trusted hand on the sale.
